Late 2021 I fully purchased FL Studio, signed up for DistroKid, and began publishing my work onto all paid platforms, most notably Spotify. This is not a decision I came to easily. I wanted to unify my online presence under one name, and sadly, GRAWL!X doesn't feel like my name anymore. From this day on, on all platforms, you can find me as 'ItsAriake' for all purposes. Thank you for all your support, I seriously love you all. Without you, I wouldn't be myself.
In September of 2017, I began a Youtube channel where I posted mostly RotMG content, aptly named 'Ariake RotMG'. This channel blew up and within a few months, hit 1400 subs, a fairly high number considering the size of the game at the time. I was reaching more people as 'Ariake' than I was as 'GRAWL!X'. Around this time I changed my discord handle from grawnut [a nickname Endeavor gave me] to Ariake, fully embracing my new online persona. In music circles I still went by GRAWL!X, but everywhere else, I was to be Ariake.
It was a name I chose to go by when my best friend Sam, who you may know as Cyclosa, and I were really into parkour at the time. We were big fans of Storm Freerun, a group in which all members had cool little nicknames. I named myself after the most popular shoes that freerunners used, the K-Swiss Ariake's. Around the same time I made my account on RotMG and promptly forgot about the game. Several years later in 2017, I began playing again and joined several communities centered around the game. Over time, I became more and more linked to the name 'Ariake'. Moreso even, than 'GRAWL!X'.
